The positioning of a virtual window is performed much more quickly and more precisely than with the mechanical PTZcontroller. It is also important, that control of the whole situation is not lost, as the operator does not operate the camera, but only chooses a part of the general video stream for viewing. When using the usual PTZ-camera, the operator is monitoring a partial zone and the rest of the territory can appear outside of the systems field of view, which could aid intruders to take advantage while distracting your attention.

Use your resources effectively

WaveCam with GlanceMode technology has a cheaper installation process as it, unlike the alternative solution with a lower resolution camera on a rotary mechanism, only requires an Ethernet-cable connection, whereas the additional rotary mechanism requires installation of special communications. Another solution can be network cameras with a built-in mechanism, but they are much more expensive, more complicated and are less durable than static cameras with similar resolution. Besides, both solutions with the mechanical rotary mechanism are quite demanding on the working temperatures range.

In operating conditions there is no need for maximum resolution surveillance. The screen displays a smaller copy of an original stream.
