Matrix LH/LS video servers based on Linux OS
Matrix LH is a video server designed to receive, digitize and transfer audio and video information in standard IP–networks. Matrix LH can function as an independent device (connection to a video server through a native web–interface) or as one of the components of the integrated distributed security system. Matrix LH functions include digitization and transfer of audio and video information on IP–networks, control of swiveling cameras (PTZ) and executive devices.
Matrix LS is a video recorder which, besides the basic Matrix LH functions, has the option of recording the incoming information on a local hard disk. This allows to organize a system of remote IP–monitoring with a double data backup loop.
Matrix LH/LS video server is a standard element from which an integrated security system and video surveillance system is built. The integration of Matrix LH/LS into an existing infrastructure is simplified as much as possible, which allows the installer to construct a professional level security system quickly.
The software installed on Matrix LH/LS works under specialized Linux operational system. There are two basic types of Matrix LH/LS: first – based on FS–5/FS–6 (PCI) video capture card, second – based on FS–16 (PCI–Express) card. The Basic specifications of Matrix LH/LS correspond to the specifications of the installed video capture cards. These video servers are used only as a part of and under control of the systems based on "Intellect" and "VideoIQ7" software.
